Aco de Roman, a perfect location with a beautiful shared swimming pool, lies on the upper slopes of a valley (2900ft / 900m high), in the near idyllic area of the Haut Provence, in the Sisteron Entrepierres - Mezien area. The fully renovated approx. 300-year old farm is set in 62 acres (5 hectares) of land with a private stream and many waterfalls. There are 3 apartments for rent: one for 4 to 8 persons, one for 4 to 6 persons and one for 2 persons (this one only available during high season).





Description apartment 1
An apartment of approx. 1120 ft2 (110 m2) suitable for 4-8 persons is available for rent all year round. The apartment has a picturesque view and is fully renovated, with a separate entrance and patio. Facilities include appliances, such as a dishwasher, a large refrigerator, a combi-microwave oven and a gas hob. The apartment is heated by a very modern woodstove.

Outside
The property is set in 161 acres (13 hectares) of land with a private stream and many waterfalls.There is a beautiiful shared swimming pool of 17x36ft (5.40x11m).

Surroundings
On average there is 320 days of sunshine! The surrounding area is very peaceful and comprises a nature reserve. It is ideal for walking, climbing and gliding. Airports only for gliding are La motte du Caire, Sisteron, St Auban and Gap. Distance to Mediterranean or high mountains (9842 ft / 3000m) are approx 1 hour drive. The nearest town, Sisteron, is a 15 min drive. Hopefully you will not require it but there is a hospital 15 minutes away.
The owners can advise you about the area during your stay with us or they can organise everything with/for you.
The famous Route Napoleon runs from Grenoble to Cannes, passing Sisteron, leading you by means of a number of mountain-passes along the most beautiful parts of France. he Route du Temps is less famous, but a must for everybody. In Sisteron you will find the Musée du Temps Perdu, where you can buy a guide for the Route de Temps. This beautiful trip leads you along various geological finds. The route is very well described with signs along the way. However the booklet offers extensive descriptions of the fossils that can be seen. Along the way you can get out of the car for walks of various length. It is a great way to discover the geological history of the Provence and the related fossils.
